Along The Trail – by Deborah Reinhardt Palmer
This was our first time at a bed & breakfast and we couldn’t have picked a better one. The first impression was phenomenal with the beautiful home and gorgeous antiques…and the superb hospitality given by you. We felt so at home and relaxed. You are an incredibly talented decorator. I tried to make mental notes for my own home some day. The food was amazing and we loved walking into the hallway and having the wonderful aroma of breakfast beckoning us downstairs. Thank uou for all the tips on the area and telling us about the history of the house. We will most definitely return to Bell Hill on our next trip to the wine trail. Thank you so much for such a great weekend.

We were looking for the perfect place to spend a long weekend and we found it! It was was also the first time our kids (not anymore – ages 17 & 20) stayed in a Wedding Venue and we wanted them to have the “true experience”. The Bell Hill B&B exceeded our expectations.
The Ball Room Suite is a wonderful room and suited our family.
Your “Southern Style” breakfasts were incredibly delicious.
We all enjoyed the conversations around the breakfast table. The story sharing made us feel like old friends visiting.
The comfort, relaxation and hospitality we experienced at Bell Hill B & B will be part of our great memory list.
Thanks for turning us on to “Rocko Red”, we hope we can find it in St. Louis.
Lovely – simply lovely! Everything was just perfect – such attention to detail. We love old houses & antiques so this was the perfect place for us to visit! The mix of old & new is seamless. I’m not much of a writer so here is a bullet list of my favorites:
- The smell when we walked in the door was delicious!
- Julia your hospitality is contagious – I want to go home and have friends over!!
- The chandelier in the Grant’s pass-way to the bathroom is so sweet & romantic.
- The tall original doors.
- The small touches of mints & cookies
- This is casual elegance. I feel pampered but not overwhelmed.
Thank you for opening your home, it made our get-a-away so much more special!
Our stay this weekend was every bit as delightful as the one six weeks ago! Your cooking and hospitality are top rate, and you have made Bell Hill a wonderful respite from life’s busy demands.
Our friends found your website and booked our stay here. We had no idea what to expect. We were in awe of this beautiful home. You are truly cut out to run a B & B – you are an exceptional hostess. Your breakfast was decadent. I’m sure we’ll be back.
We absolutely love, love, love your home. I didn’t know what to expect at a Wedding Venue, but I can assure you – your home, gracious manner and Ballroom suite far exceeded our expectations. The Ballroom was exactly the romantic get-a-way we were looking for. I am so impressed with all of the antiquity of your estate. We had a wonderful romantic Christmas Eve and delicious Southern Style breakfast. You are truly the most gracious & hospitable host we’ve ever met! Keep up the wonderful work!
I know AD left you a note, but I just need to tell you that your cooking is just wonderful!! We will be back to visit again. Thanks for all the hospitality!
Lovely Home at Christmas time!
Thank you for a wonderful weekend. This has been the most pleasant time at your B&B. You are a Southern lady and an excellent cook.

Loved it! Great atmosphere. Will come again!
A beautiful home. Warm hospitality. Thank you! See you next year!
Just what I imagined a B & B to be! Thanks for everything!
Thank you Julia! It was amazing.
Thank you for an unforgettable weekend. We are returning home with precious memories… Our lovely room, the view as we sipped mint tea in front of the house, the fabulous breakfast…
What a wonderful surprise! We’re so glad we found you.
Gracious, Gorgeous, Generous, Grand, Gratifying. General Grant’s bedroom was so inviting and soothing. Your hospitability and fine touches made our weekend at Bell Hill, one we will treasure.
